By investing in back office and strategic support, ILCPF helps grantees access the freedom and capacity to lead long-term organizing work.
ILCPF provides paid consultant hours and direct staff support to grantee partners so that they can access financial, human resources, grant writing, etc. The majority of organizations that ILCPF supports has under a $500k budget and providing operational and development support can help to free staff members up to engage in and direct organizing work, especially executive directors.
As such, we see back office support as a way to provide groups with strategic freedom because it frees up their capacity to build and move long term organizing strategies.
For strategic support, ILCPF works with locally experienced Organizing Coaches matched up to provide everything from campaign support to internal management systems reset to catered organizing trainings for the team to data support. We understand all the components that go into an effective community organizing non-profit. ILCPF also offers direct staff capacity from the Capacity Building team within the fund.
If you are an existing ILCPF grantee interested in deepening this support, feel free to reach out to VIvien Tsou, Director of Capacity Building at vivien@ilcpf.org.
If you are a donor or funder interested in investing more deeply in our capacity building work, please reach out to Amanda Hwu, Executive Director at amanda@ilcpf.org.
